Additional Math

Additional Mathematics or commonly known as A Math, focuses on developing students’ algebraic manipulation skills and mathematical reasoning abilities. The syllabus is structured around three main strands: Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, and Calculus.  

This subject emphasizes on important mathematical processes such as reasoning, analysis and application. Students are expected to be able to formulate problems, select appropriate mathematical strategies, and interpret results in context. 

The Math Specialist

The main tutor, Mr Ng Wei Lien, is a qualified teacher graduated from NIE. With nearly 20 years of teaching in a valued-added junior college and private tuition, he has a proven track record of ensuring his students improve on their grades.

He is dedicated to deliver outcome-oriented learning experiences. Each lesson is carefully curated in collaboration with the current or recent chapter that his students are learning in school.
